Leighton House Online Pattern Making Course (7 July)

Thursday 7 July I 5pm to 7pm

Leighton House, an artist's house owned by Kensington and Chelsea Council, presents an Online Course. Biomorphic pattern making. Dr Esra Alhamal will study the freehand biomorphic patterns found on a collection of contemporary Turkish plates which hang on the walls of the dining room in Leighton House. Inspired by traditional Iznik motifs, the contemporary ceramics were re-created for the museum by the Turkish master craftsman, Ismail Yigit.

This free series includes a live 'In Conversation' where you can hear more about each of the artist's journey and practice and ask about their lives as creatives.

Free online course. Pre-booking is however required.
