We invite you to submit your own picture as a swimmer in your own bathroom or anywhere where you feel like a swimmer in your own home. Please wear your full swimming gear and let your creativity do the rest. Please do not leave children unattended next to water.
Silvia Mercuriali wishes to celebrate the diverse community from Kensington and Chelsea. Submissions from People of the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+ communities, and anyone who identifies as disabled are particularly welcome.
Submitted pictures will be part of the online gallery DIY SWIMMING HOME. A selection of face/head pictures to be featured on a giant billboard during the the Festival as well as the audio snippets which will become part of a short audio portrait piece, associated with each picture.
In addition to sending in photos, we would love to hear your voice too. Please use your phone to record yourself answering the following questions:
1. What is your name and when did you learn how to swim? (Recount your earliest memory of swimming)
2. What is the thing you love the most about swimming?
3. Do you have any fears connected to swimming and water?
We advise that you ask somebody to ask you the questions and really talk to them as you speak. Please feel free to speak in your first language.

Please only submit if you are happy for your picture and or voice to be published as part of the project.
What is #GOGGLEDANCE?
Imagine Gogglebox meets TikTok, and you’ve got #GOGGLEDANCE.
#GOGGLEDANCE is a live performance that takes place right outside the windows of its audience.
The audience record themselves watching, joining in, answering quick fire questions and getting creative. It’s designed to be joyous, inclusive and playful.
After the live shows, the footage from the audience members homes and our live performance is brought together in a high-spirited mini-series distributed online for free.
The project is now completed. It was open to residents in Kensington and Chelsea.
Led by Voxed Dance Theatre. Funded by Arts Council England.
